Using a combination of merbau, which is a type of timber, to extract these lovely warm browns, caramels and soft creams with a 'pop' of indigo blue as contrast. Bringing them all together to create looking out a window. Original embroidery at top and bottom of quilt of rabbit, mushrooms, ferns and a snail. The backing is a mixture of hand dyed linen and the highest quality commercial linen ... soft and comforting.
As another layer on the bed or to be wrapped up in on the couch.
- Using only natural fibers
- Using natural dyes; indigo & merbau
- Backing using remnants commercial; cotton & linen
- Size : lap quilt measuring approx.1.30 x 1.65mtrs
- Hand quilted
- Hand embroidered rabbit, snail and foliage - original design
- Able to wash on gentle cycle in cold water only; machine or by hand, lay flat to dry
- Cotton/bamboo batting
- For longevity keep away from direct sunlight
Embroidered memories, quotes or dates are encouraged & can be added on request. Being handmade there will be slight imperfections, but we look at these as adding character and warmth to a unique quilt.
